Do you think its tacky for a person to bring their own beverage to a restaurant?

I went to this mexican restaurant in downtown Chicago with one of my good friends last weekend and she snuck a bottle of lime margarita alcohol in her purse and brought it out before we ordered our meals. I thought she was crazy for doing this lol, but she thought there was nothing wrong. Her rationale was to save money lol.

  1. Um, I think most restaurants have a policy about bringing in anything of your own to eat or drink, and she would obviously be in violation of such a policy. My personal opinion: yes this is tacky.

  9. Yes, I do think it is tacky.  Very selfish for her to put you in this situation as well.  If the staff said something to her this would make a scene and put you both in the spotlight.
