  1. No I don't think its weird. When its cold I usually wear a rashie over my wetsuit and also because I'm a bodyboarder and it helps me get better control- but that's just me.

  2. Underneath might provide you with a thicker layer of water to be warmed by your body heat inside your wetsuit. Outisde, it's benefit is purely psychological. It's too thin to keep you warm, and the water on it is quickly coooled by the air.

  3. yeah i  think its weird unless its like a competition. what John F said is right. i would just get a thicker wetsuit if you want to be warmer

  4. I think it's ok . I've seen some pros wear it over, but it is up to u.

  5. yeah i reckon it ok who cares what other peeps think.

me and my mate started to wear boardies over our wetties and now where i live heaps of peeps are doing it

  6. I've only seen surfers during a contest wear a rashguard over their wetsuits. Maybe that's why people think it looks weird. I've worn a rashguard underneath my suit and it never rode up. I just needed help in zippering up the back of the suit; the rashguard gets caught in the zipper.

  7. yes. buy a thicker wetsuit.

  8. y would you want to wear it over. wear it under, Its a lot wierder to wear it over and its not worth it wear it under its more comfortable

  9. unless you are in a contest dont wear a rash guard over your wetsuit. youll look like a douche bag.  just get a warmer wetsuit.

  10. yer i wouldnt wear it over the top i know pple who were it underneath and its quite confortable... maybe next time u buy a wetsuit buy it slightly larger so its a fraction off skin tight then the rashie should b comfortable underneath

  11. Buy a thick wetsuit and the only time i have seen people do that is in surfing contests.

  12. I've seen people wearing rashies over their suit too. In choppy conditions and dark weather some people like to wear it as it stands out... i.e. they have a greater chance of being spotted if something goes majorly wrong!!! Also, if you're trying to impress peeps back on the beach and there is a lot of people on the water then it helps you to stand out from the crowd...!!

It does keep you a bit warmer too and helps to keep some of the wind off the wetsuit but you'd be better off with a waterproof pullover type of jacket if the weather is that bad... (is the weather ever so bad that a 5mm wettie won't do the job??).

I wear mine under my wetsuit. It doesn't ride up on me and it stops me getting a rash across my belly... I actually get a rash across my belly otherwise!! Always assumed that was why it was called a rash guard...

I've also seen people wearing boardies over their wettie! I can understand that though... it beats having to stuff your socks down "there"(wink wink)!! I've done it windsurfing as well (the boardies not the socks!!!) as, if I'm carrying any repair cr4p or an anemometer, it helps to have another pocket or two...!

    :)

  13. yeah..i think its weird,

    but whatever floats your boat!

    if it keeps you warmer,

i say go for it (:
