Do you think its worth to work as a teacher?

I never feel like I am going to work in the morning. I love doing what I do but the people don't understand we don't stop working when we leave the school we have work to catch up on at home. The pay is lowsy for the 60 to 70 hours a week.

To answer your question YES it is worthy.

These days ... hmm.  I think it takes a compassionate and patient person to deal with the monsters that our society is breeding these days.  Not for me.

I think a lot of it depends on the environment you are working in.  I will always feel rewarded by the responses from my students, but I don't always feel rewarded by the staff and administration I work with.  I think a lot of teachers feel the same way, it's hard to work in a job where no matter what you do, it's never enough.  You are physically and mentally exhausted at the end of the day.    It's a hard job, sometimes its worth it, sometimes its not.

Yeah, as a Band Director it is. You actually get to HEAR the results and see the progress. It's all on a deeper level and you have a broad range of talent to work with. :) Plus, it's voluntary, so you don't get a whole lot of nasty kids to work with.

Yes if you really like people. If you decide to go into this profession just think about this. A good teacher is also a good entertainer as well.
