Sure.  Irvin hits pretty hard so anything can happen standing and Silva is untested at this weight.  If the odds are right I would think it's a good gamble on Irvin for the win, but I still see Silva out boxing him.

I can think of easier opponents at 205lbs, that's for sure. Irvin has got knockout power in his fists and knees. (Remember Terry Martin?).

Apparently Silva is going to have to cut weight to make 205lbs which I find hard to believe. He isn't a 'big' at 185lbs, let alone 205lbs.
