  1. No. A paint can is way too small for a fish. How would you see it? And how would you get the fish in there? And how would you feed it? And how would you do water changes? You wouldn't be able to. NO.

  2. Absolutely not. First off, waaay too many chemicals in there, even IF you cleaned it well. Second, too small for anything except maybe a betta. Third, no filter system.

  3. Its a cute idea, but the only way you cold see your fish is looking into the top, but painting the outside of a paint can blue with little goldfish would be a cute idea.

  4. No it is cruel, and there are people working on making animal cruelty laws apply to fish also

  5. No.

    Simple as. :)

    That's a bad idea, IMO.

  6. no, the metal from the can could seem into the water and kill the fish or the residue left from the paint could seem into the water and kill the fish. Overall, not  worth risking.

  7. What would be so cool about it?  You cannot see the fish except from the top and your fish will not be happy because it does not have any room to move.  There is no way you could keep ANY fish in a paint can!  Not only is there no way to completely get all the harmful chemicals from the paint out of the can, but the metal in the can will also kill them.  If you are a responsible, caring owner, please do not put ANY fish in a paint can!

  8. Not really.  The only fish you could put in it is a beta, which don't live that long without having some type of water circulation anyway, and there's no room for that in a paint can.  Besides, the whole point of having fish is to see them.  You can't see them in a paint can.

  9. NO!  If you want a pet, treat them right and give them the proper environment to live a happy life.  Would you like to live out your life in a paint can, without the paint, of course?

  10. It may be a cool idea but even if you clean it out real well it will still have chemicals left over that WILL kill your fish. So, if you want to keep your fish alive, probably not such a great idea as a whole.

  11. No, it would be unhealthy for the fish.
