doing chores and walking dogs and stuff yes, then at 14 and up i think you should be able to get a job after parental consent, the child agrees and the job requirements conditions and everything else are approved by the parent, child and employer. with city/state approval of course.

there this thing called child labor laws. 12 year olds can only due chores around the house for money.

Sure.  Do dishes/laundry/ironing/cleaning their rooms, etc.

not for a company or business. but doing chores, watching people's pets, watering people's plants, mowing lawns, etc. is okay. when i was little i used to watch some of my parent's friends' pets while they were gone and would sometimes help my aunt on her farm.

Maybe if it is like a family business... I used to type out and cut checks for my parent's business... As long as you can handle it...
