i am 37 weeks and 2 days. my dr told me 2 days ago that i wasnt going to make it to my due date, that i would probly have her sometime this week or next week. i am 2 cm dilated and the baby is very low in my pelvis. all day i have been having very loose stools and my lower back has been hurting really bad. could labor be around the corner or still a week away?

  1. it could go either way. i hope you have a healthy labor and a healthy baby!!

  2. you never know

my doc said she thought i would go last week and didn't then she said this week and still nothing yet. i am scheduled to be induced on tuesday so you never know when your gonna pop! good luck though and when you start having contractions you will know if you are in labor or not! congrats!

  3. I had/have the same thing, even went to hospital for it, but so far, they can't really tell at all!

  4. Sounds like you are in pre-labor to me. Soon you will get to hold your baby! Go for walks and rest as much as you can =)

  5. goodness i hope so that sounds like me!

  6. well at 37 weeks..you are close to labor no matter what but as far as trying to figure out when it may happen...well that can be tonight tomorrow next week or 2 weeks..but still 2 weeks is right around the corner if you compare it to the past 37 weeks

i would say it is closer than you think...b/c you are 2 cm dilated..i would pack your hospital bag for sure!!

being that you are 37 weeks and that is considered full term by a lot of doctors..and you want to get this over with asap so you can meet your little one...do lots and lots of nipple stimulation...rub them, massage them, do it for about 5 minutes with a 10 min rest...then 5 more and so on...i have seen this work in as little as 20 minutes to a half hour...it may even bring them on soonere due to you already being dilated...it's a great way to induce you labor naturally

    good luck mommy

  7. It sounds like your nearing labor. I would walk a little and see if any contractions start. That would probably give you a better idea.
