Do you think lawn tennis is the game which provides the most unpredictable results?

This y'r has produced quite a few unexpected results although soccer is also very unpredictable game you never know who is going to win!!

Yes. One or two points can change the game in tough times during the match. It is very unpredictable. It usually is predictable when a better player you know is facing a way lower ranked player. Then you know he's going to win pretty easily.

i would say just beneath the unpredictability of clay. because on clay it is a slow surface so it allows some players to get into a match,stay in a match where they normally would not on faster courts and it could really wear other opponents down at the same token.....matches on clay can be so up and down.

Yes and no.

In favour of your claim is the fact that after grass wears it slows down taking away any advantage that it had as being a fast surface but replaces the speed with uneven bounces which make for unpredictable shots or returns.

Against your claim I would have to say "Roger Federer 5 Wimbledon Championships and counting". #6 will happen in 2 weeks time.

well yes and no.... in general.. grass court tennis is more of a power players game, or serve and volleyer.. it rewards the big servers a little bit better..

grass is a very intense game, very quick points at times, but towards the end of the 2 weeks.. the court can become dried out, and that allows for a sligthly slower surface and bad, unpredicatable bounces... look at what happened last year in the semifinal match bewteen Justine Henin and Marion Bartoli.. a match where Justine was leading, and was expecting to win, but Bartoli hung in there took advantage of some of henins bad returns and shifted the match to win... very shocking to this day still!
