Do you think letting 10 year olds playing with 16 other kids alone is to dangerous if...

Question

Everybody knows each other, only allowed to go only 3 blocks left and 2 up and down, very little cars because there is nothing to do, grown ups on our block tell us to go back if they see us where we arent supposed to be. Do you think its to dangerous.? Also most of us need to go home when its 5. My freind wants to convince his parents. What should he say? My parents told me that the crime rate is the same or even lower than before is it true? I think it only seems higher because of the news and stuff.

Heck yeah. Putting two kids together is dangerous enough but a group like that is terrifying.

Honestly, my eldest was out and about when he was 11 as well as my second eldest but my youngest was enjoying his freedom at 10 while my youngest (who is 9 1/2) might never, ever go out on his own. I think if you talk it over w/your parents who know the area better than any of us as well as the company  you keep is your best bet.

Edit: Mrs.Moonbeam, did you even read the question, this child is 10 years of age playing in a GROUP of 16 children (not a 16 year old) ranging in age from 10-13 years of age.

Its absolutely dangerous! Ten year olds have no business hanging out with 16 year olds.  Dont try to grow up so fast, being exposed to things that older kids are exposed too, is really bad for your well being and development.  Find kids your own age to play with, and hang on to these young innocent years, because one day very soon you will be an adult wishing you had played and done the things that kids do, things that 10 year olds do.

Absolutely, even if you have a low crime rate something can happen. I have a 10 yr old and when she rides her bike she still sometimes forgets to look where she is going. We live in a small subdivision and she isn't allowed to even ride her bike where we can't see her. She is still a little kid in alot of ways. She would be bound to act stupid if she was around 16 other kids her age.

That's not appropriate behavior for a 16 year old to hang with a 10 year old.  My son is 12 and I wouldn't allow him to hang with a 16 year old. You need to stay away from that person.
