  1. yes

  2. Yes of course. Especially those non degree holders who depends on that salary to survive will live in a life of sickness & poverty. Look at the ever rising medical cost!

Combining the competition from foreign talents & the ever rising cost of living, which local non executive employee dares to set up a family here? While the employers are enjoying cutting production cost to maximise their profits?

Look at the MRT suicide cases. Did such things happen in the 90s? That's why many people are turning to alternatives such as sales, internet marketing, etc. Simply anything to steer away from dependency of salary. Those who still believe in the concept of salary either will have to live a life of poverty or they  will have to migrate to some other countries which pays a higher salary for their jobs.

But I believe even migration won't solve the problem. China & Vietnam is rising up. Investors will invest in these 2 countries somehow & we will still be retrenched.

  3. definitely

the middle range get hit the worst. the rich obviously have nothing to worry about. the poor are accustomed to poverty (not that it is a good thing)

the middle range lives from paycheck to paycheck and constantly worries about work pressure, health issues and etc.

  4. In my opinion, yes pressure apply to all in Singapore.

We all face pressure. Female, Male, Rich or Poor.

All will face pressure to a certain extent of different type.

As for me, I feel stress as long as I am awake.

I have no choice but to endure.

My home is here, my root is here.

But if I'm given a chance, I will chose to leave Singapore and give up pink IC.

Just day dreaming only, I'm poor, no U cert and no special skill.

No many country want the type of people like me.

    So let's endure together.

    All the best pal.

  5. why would living in Singapore be "pressure">/?

  6. I dun think so. I am proud to be a Singaporean....

  7. Does your pressure refers to "stressful: ? If it is, then my answer is YES.

  8. I can't help it but your question did catch my attention.

I must say in any country there is a certain amount of pressure, is up to an individual how they manage stress and know how to destress.

Growing up in Singapore, yes I thought it was stressful because People is Sinapore's only natural resource. In addtion, you have "compete" at school to get the best of grades and whatsoever. However all of this did teach me how to be resilient, independent..

So if you're up for it, give it a try and live in Singapore!
