I mean no disrespect to women, and I certainly don't mean during that time that life would have been "easier". It just seems like a time when men who followed traditional male roles were looked upon as heroic, strong, brave, respectful people. I don't just mean being able to shoot people you disagree with, but just the life as a rugged individualist.

  1. Well I think it would be more fulfilling, but the "traditional male roles" that you described with such wonderful adjectives seem to only be on television and in movies.  But yeah, for a male that would be a lot of fun.

  2. Not really.

The "old west" you have written about is a myth that has been told primarily by men about men.  If you want to learn what life was really like in 'the old west' try reading some diaries from the time - but be prepared to be bored to death.

  3. Up until he was shot and died before his time...

  4. Actually, I agree....  to some respect... things seemed to run "smoother"...  Those days are gone...  adjustment is a must.....  I am a great shot and can hold my own, but if I had a choice, I would prefer life the "old way"....    Seemed alot less stressful.
