  1. Unfortunately, in this day and age, children aren't allowed to be children anymore. Whatever happened to believing in magic and being able to play? You can't even sit on Santa's lap anymore.

I completely agree with you. Magazines aimed at kids are showing "s*x position of the month"! Yet people still question why there are so many teenage pregnancies!

The world is changing.....it's very sad.

  2. i think it is just fine and i think what's robbing kids of thier childhood is you asking meaningless quetions

  3. I do and I had bought a bratz coloring book for my toddler daughter to scribble in. When I got it home it was talking about dating and how a girl should make the first move and so on....I was not happy! Talk about putting the cart before the horse

  4. It used to be alot worse 10 years ago, and so some clampdown did occur, but yes, girls are sexualised alot earlier and childhood is diminishing, where is the love?

  5. i also think this...most magazines aimed at pre-teens or young kids may influence them in the wrong way as most of the models in the magazines r skinny and have no spots wat so eva. some kids that i know want to be like a barbie doll!

anyways, mags r DEFINALTELY robbing kids of a proper childhood and i personnaly dont think anough is being done about it

  6. only if they don't have parents to raise them

  7. I hate Seventeen.  My sister is five years older than me and always kept them in the bathroom.  I read a lot so I did read them when I didn't have anything else to look at.  I just remember thinking how stupid all these "If I use a tampon will I still be a virgin?" questions were and how it was incredible they appeared in almost every single issue.  I had been in s*x ed classes in 5th and 8th grade so I always assumed that the magazine was aimed at people who weren't allowed to attend them.  As a result of my exposure to Seventeen in my early years, I refuse to read any of the women's magazines like Vogue or Cosmo now that I'm an adult, because the Seventeen readers are adults now too, and I'm sure they're still asking stupid questions in between articles of "How to Please your Man and How to Make him Please you!"

  8. I absolutly agree that magazines rob children of their adolesences. it sucks :(
