  1. People have been predicting the end of the world for a while now.

Humans are stupid animals, but quite resourceful, we may ruin the planet but we will cling to life with everything we have until there is no air to breathe.

    Were not going anywhere.

  2. Unless the earth gets hit by a giant asteroid we will still be here in a 100 years arguing about the same dumb things.

  3. I think man will be around for a very long time.  Man is more resourceful then any other species has ever been.  We are more inteligent and more adaptable to changes.  I don't see how any major changes will kill off all humans even if the changes were a Super Volcano, nuclear war, etc.  There would be survivors.  (I don't think those things will happen, but you never know.)

  4. According to the Mayan Calander I believe its all suppose to end 2012, or something like that. Why sweat it. Get the most out of life you can now.

  5. maybe but I don't think so.. With Iraq and stuff and with all these bombs I think mankind could die out.

  6. I think that old mother earth is just about getting ready to have a good clean out. Maybe two or three, or even more very large eruptions at roughly the same time across the globe, will see us all done to a turn. I think Yellowstone will be involved in this big one. There are so many of them simmering away at the moment, it could be next year or tomorrow, who knows.

  7. Extinctions take a long time unless they experience a catastropic natural disaster.

100 years you say? Yeah, I think we'll be there. Dumb lizards and dinos survive for millions of years, we can too.

  8. some how yes ...we've made it through tough times in the past

  9. Humans and cockroaches here til the end.

Besides when things are their bleakest and darkest humans do what they do best. Breed. Look at the birthrates in areas struck by natural disaster or manmade calamity. Miss and La 10 months after Katrina elevated birth rate. New Orleans population still lower because of the number of people who did not return.

NYC blackout of 77 produced a birth rate spike. Some people dispute this- look at birth records for the 10 month period following the black out.

So really we have survived so much already. Whats another hundred years.

  10. It depends on many variables.  A virus could wipe us all out.  Nuclear war could wipe us all out.  A geological event could wipe us all out.  An object of extraterrestrial origin such as a comet could wipe us all out. Etc.

I'm hoping we do last for another century but there are too many variables to give an exact yes or no.  We can hope but it also important for us to study and evolve our knowledge to help us to survive.

  11. yea but we have to go back to basics.

  12. yes.  weve survived for 10's of thousands of years, we can make it a little while longer.  as long as we dont have a nuclear holocaust and there isnt a catastrophic meteor collision like there should be this millenia.

  13. Probably. The big threat is temperatature.  If we let global warming go to far, everthing that we eat will die, and we will follow. If an ice age comes our crops will die, and we will be confined to our houses. But otherwise, no.

  14. I think that we will survive 100 million years because there is nothing on the horizon that would likely kill us.
