  1. If you are saying, should mothers be in charge?? I think good parenting takes 2 parents that can communicate well. I was a single mother though, & I think I did a d**n good job. Matriarchy is more of a govt system, not parenting system.

PS-most women are "in charge" at their house anyway!

  2. Of parenting, not really, but as a society, heck yes.

  3. It doesn't work very well with parenting. I have no reason to believe it would do any better with today's society.

  4. I think a balance of both is ideal, instilling in the child feminine and masculine principles from either s*x.If opposites are not held together to create a third thing, what you produce instead are factions within the personality, and also in the world.

E.g my father had strong 'feminine' principles, was much more emotional, passive, nuturing, imaginative -  my mother held more 'masculine' principles like reason,objectivity,active/breadwinner etc.

  5. could be.  I find that more children admire and respect mothers more than fathers. But that is my own experience. Todays society though is tough to judge on this question.  Now we have both dead-beat dads and moms.

but like someone said before me, adiquate parenting requires a mother figure and a father figure.
