  1. mixing is not so good. it will work but it wont sound so good.

One of the two sobwoofers has higher sensitivity. use it. The second speaker will add only litle bit of loudness - it won't help.

  2. ya but you wanna get a matching amp per sub

  3. If you are in an suv it will be so loud that you wouldn't be able to tell that it sounds crappy.  If you want the best of both worlds go buy a 1000+ watt kicker amp.  Buy one CompVR 12 and put it in a sealed box.  Buy one CompVR 10 and put it in a ported box.  Unreal.

  4. well mtx is way betta then boston acoustics so i wouldnt mix those 2

  5. as long as youre not mixing impedences it will work and both are quality subs so you can expect quality results depending on your amp and installation...and im just guessing here but i suspect that you like good sound quality at high volumes with decent bass...if thats the case you should get 2 of boston acoustics higher end subs because ive heard MTX is low on SQ from a lot of people...you dont want the 5500 to take over and cancel out the G2

  6. dont do it...it will sound like c**p...i seen a person do it and it didnt work too god....get some good spl subs, preferribally pioneer premier cause they have a lil sq in them, and put them in a proper sealed enclosure that is airtight and u will get what u want

  7. you can mix subs, but it will be very hard on the amp(if using one), because it is not balanced output. you will have to have two boxes and two amps for it to work, but the result will be the worse of both worlds though. it would make more sense to run a good 10" for quick bass and one of the 12"s  for the hard hitting base. for my the best setup(my opinion) i like separates 6.5" in the door with 1" tweeters in the I piller and 8" mid base in the kick panel with a 10" and 15(or12") in outback  6.5" separates in the back. all this running off 3 amps. it hits hard and the music is as good as a good home theater. use plenty of sound matting and put rubber washers on the license plate. use a good cross over(if your amp does not have one and a good capacitor for you application.
