  1. I certainly don't think it's the most ideal way to start a business.  The business plan of MLM is to feed on the dreams of many to support the dreams of few.

Mind you, I'm not saying it won't work!  It can work, and work very well... it just works for few and is work for many.

There are lots of better ways to make much more money than to use other people's dreams as pawns.

  2. MLM is good and its working in singapore...In this business, u actually reduce the risk of being retrench, backstab and stuff...if u are still young, good, start ur business as u have the time to do so...MLM is about spending quality time but not quantity time...if u able to spend ur maximun quality time to earn maximun profit, u are succesfull...it did not require u to work all day long, it also a form of investment as the more downline or network u have, the lesser job u need to do...but starting is harsh and most people will give up..unless u have strong determination of what u want, u will not success in this industries...i have come across alot of youngsters working in mlm company and got their cars by age of 19-23...so do u think it work?? and if u really interested with MLM company, i know a few very good and developing company in singapore, feel free to email me at lance_stephen@yahoo.com

  3. I think MLM can never work in Singapore, and should not be allowed to. It is not a productive method of doing business, and instead distracts people from gainful economic activity. It is also verging on the morally unacceptable to prey on the profit motive of unsusceptible people. If it is totally above-board, it would not have been banned by the government until recently. Besides, most MLM business owners are making unverified claims on the superiority of the products they sell. I am against the MLM model of business as the cost of business is always transferred to the individual who sells the product, instead of the producer of the product. This cost of business bourne by the individual often includes intangible social costs also bourne by him/her, like loss of meaningful friendship or kinship. I have seen lives wrecked this way.

  4. The business model is good. But the problem is this about working with other people and normally human is not perfect and this is where most of the problems come in

  5. If you have a product that there is market for it. And if the company is sound. I would not go for a new companies. I would suggest to have a direct sale company. But remember, you need to make the first sale for yourself.

I think it is an ideal way to start up a business if you have checked the company and product. In the beginning you do more work and get paid less, but as your business grows and you help enough of people to be success full, you start to make more money for less work. Just make sure that you are with the good company so you do not invest too much time on something that will disappear. You can always keep the job until you start to make money to support yourself.

  6. Shaklee is big in Singapore, and it is a MLM company that is based in the states (CA, I think).  I have also run into people that are selling things this way, so it must work in Singapore, or they would not be in business long
