I have hypermobility syndrome, which affects my feet, ankles, knees, pelvice, back, shoulders, elbows, wrists, fingers and thumbs, and sometimes variouse other places, lol, thats nearly everywhere isn't it?

Well any way, I thought I had sorted out my thumb problem last year after buying a bike with better handlebars for me but they started hurting again a few months ago and are getting steadily worse.

I allready understand that though it feels like arthritis it is just because my joints move so far they are pulling and damaging tendons and in my thumbs case wearing down the thinner cartelidge that wouldn't usually see much action.

I am trying to be carefull with them and rest them but the othr day I got one stuck in my jumper while I dressed! Owwww! They are so inflamed and though I've had six weeks off (work in a school) I am worried that it is going to be quite restrictive now and harder to rest them too.

Any way, my Grandad who has arthritis has very distorted hands and I am worried this will happen to mine. They are feeling a bit weired these days and today I looked at them and thought they looked different.

I took photos so that I can compare in the future,

have a look and tell me if the thumbs look unusual in anyway, people who do this stuff for a living are very welcome, but would equally welcome someone just comparing them with there own.

  2. Auther Ritus is frequently a circulation problem brought on by dairy and a hight fat diet and/or over chilling the limbs driving the blood circulation away from them.

To change and heal eliminate dairy especially and hard fats from your diet.  Try hot packs to ease the pain you already have and start eating whole foods especially organic fruits and vege's.  With God's blessing you will soon be feeling better.  - God bless you.
