  1. if he penetrated her and you seen them mate, and he is a smallish breed chances are he is fertile, vets can do a blood test to determine pregnancy if  it just happened she can receive an injection to prevent pregnancy-yes dogs do have morning after pill so do ask your vet. you have a chance to cancel any fertilisation. or else let nature decide and raise the pups anyway and have her fixed. get stronger fencing and dont leave a female who is definately in heat outside unsupervised in your garden,  as she will too want to run away to find a mate as well .

if you are unsure what a female dog in season is like or signs etc, then do read up on it  ,and do the best thing for your pet.

  2. a male dog does not hit puberty until 5 months old....but it could be possible if his testies have dropped and he is  processing sperm already. A female dogs normal jestation would be around 72 days.....all you need to do is buy a home pregnancy test and test her. they work the same for female dogs as women. that should clear it up!

you would also  notice physical changes in your female if she were preggers, nipples swelling. It happens pretty soon since they are only pregnant for a little over  2 months.

  3. There might be a chance that she is preggo and there is a chance she is not.

  4. The only way you can tell for sure this early on is to get your vet to do a test. If she is pregnant you will see signs in the coming months - swollen b*****s and nipples, nesting behavior, increased appetite. Same as humans.

  5. 1. she needs to be on heat ( bleeding)

    2. your dog will only have s*x if she is ready

    3. i think the male has to be at least 6months and older

but if you sore them bum to bum.............yeah you might find in a couple of months ur dog might have pups.

  6. A female come in season once every 6 months.  It's during the second week of heat that the female will allow a male for mating.  If your dog was/is in heat, you need to watch her for other males coming into the yard. If she's not in heat, then he just wanted a playmate.
