  1. It depends on the attitude of your kids. I sure would love it! But in case they show any attitude or seem upset, maybe you could have them bring a friend! If they are girls, remind them that those are the shopping areas of the world! And try to make sure that there is plenty of oppurtunity for them to do their own thing. Hope this was helpful!

  2. yes.. i totally wish i were ur child right now!!!! they're sooo lucky! lol

p.s. im 13 and my bro is 16... we both l.o.v.e. it!!!

  3. I did a Mediterranean cruise that included all of those port stops except Malta.  But our cruise was 12 days and went to Greece and Turkey.  I think they will enjoy most the time spent in Rome if you go on a tour that includes the Vatican City and the Colosseum.  I think they would also enjoy seeing the Leaning Tower in Pisa, and Pompeii at the Naples stop.  I didn't care that much for the Villefranche port stop but it was OK and your kids may like it.

We cruised on the Gem this past November and it is a nice ship and has some good amenities that your kids will enjoy.  It has two pools on the pool deck and four hot tubs and a water slide.  It also has a full sized basketball court and a rock climbing wall.  It does not have mini-golf but does have a couple golf driving cages.  It has a bowling alley with four lanes (but its $5.00 a game).  The shows in the show room were really nice with a lot of colorful costumes.  In the Atrium there is a huge screen where they play Nintendo's Weii game every afternoon about 3:00 PM.  In the lounge on the top deck of the ship there is a table top shuffle board game and also a pool table and a couple dart boards.

There will be plenty to do on ship and the port stops, especially Rome which is an hour away from the port, will keep them busy .....  and they will be too tired to complain.

  4. no they would rather stay home and party.

  5. im young but i would like that cruise

  6. hmmm. teenagers in foreign countries. with foreign teenagers to look at and admire. i think your kids will like it fine

  7. This is a great itinerary.  The only negative to this trip is that you dont have a whole lot of time on the ship.  It would have been good to have an additional day or two at sea.  This way the kids could enjoy more of the ship and the activities on the ship.

For their age they will have several sporting events during the day and the evenings are filled with Broadway style shows and spectaculars, line dancing and a teen disco.  They will also have some theme parties.

My experience with kids going on shore days is that they tend to get a little tired in the evenings.

  8. That is an amazing itinerary, plus they can say they went to 4 countries on vaca

  9. they will like it more if you are not there.

  10. I think they would love the itenerary. Can't say as much for the cruise line. I am not a fan of NCL. I do not like their style of freestyle cruising.

  11. Wow, lots to do and see!  If they don't like it, take me instead!

  12. with the ages you have given they would be the best judge of that as long as they know what their is to do. And in the end my 2 boys are happy with the 24 hr pizza. the itinerary is a little harder than a Caribbean cruise as the things to see are not near port so the travel tome would be the only thing the kids would have a problem with, but it is worth the wait.

  13. Yes, that is awesome.  Any 13-16 who wouldn't enjoy it would be crazy, some adults don't ever get to go to those places!

  14. omg!!!! if i was your kid i would love you forever!!! lol but ya i think that they would really enjoy thi trip very much! i know i would and i'm in between their ages.

  15. I went on a cruise with my mom when I was 16 to the Bahamas, I downright enjoyed it, I met friends, I ate good, the pool was HUGE, make sure to get some motion sickness medicine though, if your kids are proned to sea sickness, that way they can actually enjoy the cruise.

  16. they would appreciate it more later, to look back on it would be a touching experience. Maybe in a book of memories scrapbook?

  17. I went on a cruise a couple years ago wheen Iwas 16 with my parents and I liked it. We went to the Carribean and did alot of shopping. I'mnot sure if your kids wold like to go to Europe. I do't think that they would appreciate the clture and history. Why don't you look into going somw place else. If your kids likebeaches then the Carribean or Mexico would be great. I love traveling to Mexico. Maybe  Disney cruise would be good. I hope that wherever you go you ad your family will have a great time. Good Luck!

  18. YOU betcha!  Do you need a sitter...?? lol

I would love that trip and they will love it too...

  19. Seems like you are running the Amazing Race. This is a VERY busy itinerary and not really geared towards the kids. Why not pick a couple of days to only spend 1/2 the time in the city and then spend the rest on the ship where they can cut loose and have fun.

You don't honestly want to drag two teenager all over YOUR vacation without giving them some wiggle room? I mean, we all know teenagers can be...shall we say....difficult to please, sometimes?

    have fun.

  20. (WHA?!?!?!?)...WOW! You are the coolest parent ever! I mean, ITALY?!?!?!?

The coolest place I've ever been is Niagara Falls, and that was when I was 20 with my FIANCE'S PARENTS! I've never been out of state with the exception of crossing the NYS border into Pennsylvania by a mile to go to a Wal-Mart.

I sure hope your kids have fun seeing the world like that, and make sure you tell them my sad story so they can realize just how lucky they are! LOL.

  21. I think they would be gloriously happy about doing all of that.

  22. sounds great, and if your kids like the whole 'being on my own' thing, be sure to leave lots of free time for them to do with as they please. But it sounds great, not too structured, and lots of fun! The best part about vacations is the independence that comes with it. Enjoy the trip!
