Do you think my kitty can tell she doesn't have a name?

I have a very aggressive cat too. She probably needs to be neutered and has an appointment in a month. But she pretends to love me one minute and then bites me like crazy the next. And hard...usually absolutely unprovoked (I'll be watching TV and she'll just bite me). But, she doesn't have a name yet, and I've had her for a month. Do you think she knows she doesn't have a name and hates me for it?

p.s. She is a very attractive cat. She has designs on her fur that look like an orca and a gazelle on one side, a serpent alone on the other, and a butterfly on her back. I think she is vain because she knows that she's an attractive cat.

  1. well do you call her kitty? mabye she thinks thats her name.

  2. I think when she's biting you, she's really just playing. That's probably why she alternates between biting and l*****g. She's giving you affection and wants you to play with her.

She probably doesn't care whether or not she has a name. You could call her "kitty" for all she'd care.

P.S. It's "spay" for girls and "neuter" for boys. Not that it matters. =P

  3. A lot of times cats behave the way they do due to the environment they grew up around. I'm pretty sure they don't care what you call them and to them it doesn't really matter. If it sounds like your calling to them they'll somewhat respond. Cats can't be as easily trained as dogs. My old cat was kinda bipolar like that too. I would pet her and she'd purr but then bite me. But then again I wasn't a very good owner and she was also separated from her mother very young. She was a stray my friend found and she was a month old, then my mother made me keep her in my room and that didn't go well with her and me a lot of times.

  4. i really dont think she knows she doesnt have a name.  i just call mine Kitty.

and i noticed its the tone of voice i use.  i can call for him in that tone, calling "butt face!"  or "hamster!" and he comes running!  i think its the tone more than the name they recognize

  5. Why not just give her a name, and find out.
