Do you think my name is boring?

Question

My mum had little imagination when she named me in my opinion.

My full name is Lauren Elise Friend

I was almost named Angela or Nicole.

But yeah i like my middle name more than my first name... My first name very plain and i don't like it much.

I'll tell you a funny story while i'm at it...

When i was born my mum took me to see my great grand mother, who was hard of hearing and couldn't see well at all. Her name was Elsie. When my mum presented me to her, my great grandmother misheard my middle name "Elise" as "Elsie" and to her death 10 years later, was flattered that i was *named* after her... noone had the heart to correct her!

Anyway, what do you think of my name? Boring?

I love the name Elise though.

If you like your middle name better go by that. My son  is Micheal Chayton. And he goes by Chayton.

I like Elise very much. If you don't care for your first name, start going by Elise. Quite alot of people use their middle name.

the original point of second names was that you could go by those if you didn't like your first one. I like names like Elise and Eloise very much, they are very feminine (in english, that is, oddly enough I don't like them in french) Your first name is not boring, it is pretty and soft, but if you beleive it doesn't suit your personnality start going by Elise, I would say.

Lauren, I think your name is adorable, but if you want to use your middle name then by all means, use it! I think they're both beautiful.

I was never really a fan of Lauren but I know a Lauren now. She's amazing, she's funny and she's such a great person. So now I like the name.

I don't think it matters what your name is because if you're a good person then people won't think of it as boring/ugly/whatever else someone can say about their name

I like Elise a lot and your surname is very cool. Most people have really ugly, clompy surnames (inc. me!) but it doesn't really matter in the end.

It's just a name.

Lauren is much nicer than Nicole or Angela, IMO.
