Do you think my newly-pierced ears will be OK if I take out my earrings for 3 hours?!?

I got them pierced about 5 weeks ago, and my field hockey coach demands that I take them off, and no I CAN'T PUT TAPE OVER THEM. Do you think my holes will close up? Are there any insert things that I can add to keep my hole open? thanks for the info.

I think they will be fine for 3 hours. Especially if you got them pierced 5 weeks ago.

5 wks should pretty much de done by now. 3hrs in nothing anyway. i reccommnd getting tiny studs that u keep in day and night to keep the holes open. over the yrs the holes try and close upless and less. what i do is put a stud in there and rotatie it for 10secs once every month. ive'e found in the past they tried to close up a bit but i just shoved the earrnig right through - it just breaks a little bit of skin. its no big deal.

when i got my ears pierced they got infected after 5 weeks and i took them out and they were fine and that was for about 12 hours so its pobably ok now if theres no other option.

i wouldnt take them out...

i've had my belly button pierced for almost a year & had to take my belly button ring out for less then 5 hours ; & it closed - i had to repierce it ; your coad wont let you wear little studs !??!

yes, it'll be fine. 3 hours does nothing to it, maybe like a day or two would make them sore, i've gone months without mine closing. but 3 hours.. thats fine.
