Question:

Do you think my phone is being tapped?

Every time I talk to two particular people, I hear my phone beep, usually just once during the conversation - it sounds as though one of us is pressing a key on the phone, but neither of us is. It only happens with these two people, and it ALWAYS happens when I talk to them. And it never occurs after the same interval of time - maybe like whomever is listening is getting bored and hanging up. What do you think is causing this? Am I tapped?

  1. perhaps they use a minute-minder!!

  2. what it sounds like is that you have call waiting. if it is a quick beep. then someone is calling you. if someone is listen on the line there should be no beep or and nose.

  3. I hear the beeping on my phone also but I know it's caused by my Telezapper (to remove my phone number from telemarketer's databases).  It's annoying but I rarely use my home phone anymore anyway, I use my cell phone far more often.

  4. no!! I bet its just line-noise...so don't worry about it too much!!
