1) Chemistry

2) AP European History/Honors English 10 (this is year round, they alternate days)

3) Advanced Journalism

4) Geometry

Next Semester:

1) Phys. Ed

I'm planning on doubling up on foreign language my jr. and sr. years...

  1. For you it's not a question of getting or not getting into a college, but what college you're going to attend

    so don't worry

get good grades, do well on the SAT or ACT, and you'll be fine

  2. Colleges that you apply to are not going to look at every single class on your transcript.  The things that really matter are what your overall GPA is and what you make on the SAT.  However, you will have to meet requirements such as taking foreign languages, a government class, certain amounts of math classes and English classes.  So, as long as you have the required classes, which are usually the same requirements for graduation, you will be fine.

Just do as well as you can and make sure you take the needed classes for requirements.

  3. you deff will especially if you keep your grades up.  In my experience you can have taken the best classes but if you did not keep your grades up then it does not even matter.

As for doubling up on foreign languages i would be careful with that.  if you get too swamped with too many words in different languages (especially if they are similar like the romance languages) you will end up confusing words, I know I do with Spanish and French.

Also depending on what you want to major in the foreign language really matter.  I remember when I applied to Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh Art majors had something like 70% of admission depend on their art and academics were like 10%

Also make sure your test scores (SAT and ACT) are good all around not just some.  Especially the big schools (NYU CMU Pace and Columbia) like high rank and high test scores.

One last note... look at the schools you want to go to and see what their admissions requirements are.  this is HUGE!!! because if you do not meet the requirements then FORGET about going to that school.

    Hope I helped
