Actually mythical only means there are stories/myths about them. Doesn't mean they don't exist.

  1. no i dont think so because they thnki it is a day to honor them so we dress up as them and go trick or treat

  2. well, actually, its not so much the costumes, but the people overusing them that gets them a bit ticked. like faeries for instance; that are freakin pissed. for the last several decades, people have been making movies, leaving out candy for them(people assume that they are cute little trouble making sugar loving tiny elves, which they are not), trying to set up stupid traps, having people portraying them as loving and happy beings that dont have the ability to produce anger. ever see my answers to those kids that ask how to capture faeries, and how to talk to them, and how to draw them to there houses? ever notice how i get a bit angry about it? well, now you know. they are freakin pissed, and every once in a while they make sure i know about it. mermaids would probably be happy about there stereotypes, on the other hand, but they dont know about it. vampires obviously dont mind, aside from the posers.

  3. Dressing up in costumes started well before Halloween.  It was a way of disguising one's self from any potentially evil spirits that might cross the veil between worlds on Samhain.  As such, the disguises were meant to be either hideous to scare the evil spirits away, or else were intended to honor the Gods and Goddesses.

So, in direct answer to your question, no, I don't think those heroes or mythical creatures would be the least offended.

  4. It is said that imitation is the highest form of flattery, so I think they should take it as a compliment. :)

  5. Nah - after all, imitation is the highest form of flattery!!

  6. well Halloween started as Samhain which celebrates the dead and other worlds so i think thed find it respectful.

  7. maybe.

  8. If they're mythical they don't exist, therefore they can't be offended.

  9. No, I think they have a sense of humor. They have also observed enough human behavior to appreciate the importance of rituals and blowing off steam.
