  1. I really like the way Rafa plays but I can't help but want Roger to win once again. Roger is the king of Wmbldon... I just saw last year's final on NBC and I was happy to see Rafa improve in his own way. He took Roger to a 5th set, which he has never had to do!!! He was so close (I was happy Roger won though, I like him better). So, to answer you question, I think that his baseline game and defensive style will not work. He has started to go up to the net more and obviously stands a chance at winning against Roger.

I was watching the commentators talk and they were saying that Roger may not win the Wmbldon this year because he only has one minor win under his belt this year. Rafa has 4 including the Roland Garros. So, maybe Rafa's defensive style and baseline tactics may win him the Wimbledon!

  2. Yes, because on grass he doesn't play as far back as he does on clay.  Look how he played last year at Wimbledon.  His swing was more compact, he stood further in the court to return serve, he flattened out his shots a lot more than he does normally, his sliced backhand was really effective, and he was really good when he came to the net, which is the most underrated part of his game.  And nobody can cover a court like Nadal.  Plus, the grass at Wimbledon is not as fast as it was in Sampras's day.  His only weakness is his serve, but that's actually improved this year.

  3. I think that we have already seen (WBLDN 2007) that Rafa knows how to come up to the net. he almost won last year. I believe only inexperience kept him from taking last year's final. He knows what HE has to do on grass.

Fed now has to face somebody who has publicly administered a 6-0 to him. I don't care what surface they play on; the next time they meet that will be on Fed's mind.

  4. I am sure that it will.

  5. Borg won 5 Wimbledons using the same style.

  6. Nope

  7. Yeah. He`s been sooo close the past 2 years. Im sure Rafa can win wimbledon this year :) He`s a much better player and is amazing at the net.
