  1. When the nightwing title started they made a point of establishing that d**k Grayson's money doesn't come from Bruce.  The story went that his parents left a small sum of money.  This was put in a trust and it was managed by Lucius Fox.  When d**k came of age there was a substanial sum of money in it from the returns on investments.  Bruce made a point of saying that he didn't put any money into the trust, it was all from what d**k's parents left and investment.  Since then there has been periodic references of d**k meeting with Lucius to discuss the investment of his trust.  This was done to establish d**k as his own man and not reliant on Bruce.

As for Tim, he is now Bruce's adopted son.  Originially Tim's family had money, but his dad lost it, regained some of it, etc.  In Robin 100 Tim talks about how much money it costs to be Batman and Robin and that Bruce pays for it.  When Tim's father died there was a sum of money left (I think $100,000).  Tim faked having an uncle and had to pay him and his living expenses so not sure what the status of this money is.  He has since been adopted by Bruce.  In several recent comics he references his Robin budget from Bruce which was used for things like paying off penguin for info, repairs to the Red Bird.

In an issue from One Year Later, Robin even admitted embezzling money from the Batman crime fighting funds to build a secret lab to try and clone Superboy.

  2. I think Bruce set up a fund for d**k Grayson and he taps into that

  3. Batman set up a trust fund for d**k Grayson that he uses.  And of course Robin will use Bruce's money because he is his ward.
