Do you think of carnival games as total rip-offs?

I am a carny and want to know what the general thought process is about carnival games. As a matter of fact that is what I have done in the carnival for the last 19 plus years.

some games yes. but you have to know which ones are the easiest to actually win a prize

honestly i always think there is a catch to the one where you have to throw a ball into the bowl and get a goldfish. i always win mostly all of them except that one is there a catch to it? or am i just crazy. lol

but other than that one i think there cool

I think they are a total rip off.  I don't ever play carnival games.

Probably some are impossible, like the one where u have to throw a ball that has to hit the backboard and then land into a basket below.  I've never seen anyone win in that.  Personally, the only carnival game that i have ever won at is the one where u have to shoot water into a hole so that a tube fills up.  

But, i guess it would only be a rip-off if they charged u a lot for a near-impossible game.

I wont pay more than $2 for a game.

I only really like playing the Birthday Game since I can either bet $1 or $2 and have a somewhat decent chance at winning a big prize.

I also like playing the racing game where you have to roll a golf ball up a ramp into colored holes.

I have actually won at ring toss once though.  Although it cost me $10 for a bucket, I was able to get a ring on and then got into an argument with my friend over who threw it.

Well I work games at an amusement park so I know they are all winnable and they really are not that hard if you know what you are doing.

some are almost impossible. ex. hitting all the cans off a table, getting a ball in the whole(ball is usually bigger then the whole) idk, some you can win, you just have to know which ones. I would say make the ones that are nearly immposible really cheap and the easier ones more money
