  1. To be honest I think rugby union players are as well built as rugby league players but rugby league players make better use of it, it's a much more physical game across all positions. You constantly have to retreat 10 metres when you have made a defensive tackle in rugby league too, so i'd say that the average rugby league player is much fitter than the average union player too.

  2. union players are fitter, what that other person said is incorrect. while the tackler retreats 10 metres, everyone else on the team gets a break. rugby union players would usually be taller, but not bigger

  3. Yes j-a-m-i-n, but Union players have to be constantly rucking and defending the ball where as league get the ball back. I'd say the two sports are as physical as each other but in different ways.

  4. well. im personally a union boy and i reckon that both are equally build. if you look at the likes Dan Vickerman, VIctor Matfield, Chris Jack, i reckon that they are just as big as sum1 like Willy Masson

having said that, the average leauge halfback and 5/8 are probs a lil bit bigger. haha, you have to be all that big thoe, look at Steven Larkam, what a bloody legend

  5. Nope, not at all.Because in both codes, they've got islanders and maori's & we're all just naturally built big!!!!

  6. No way, the average rugby back is built like a rugby league forward.

  7. No, not nowadays...it used to be the case when Union was amateur and players had day to day jobs. Now they are pretty much on par.
