Do you think other disheartened Hillary supporters will back McCain/Palin?

Although I disagree with McCain and Palin on some issues, I think that character is more important in the choice of president and vice-president. In choosing Palin, McCain showed what Obama did not ie. that he is willing to support women's' aspirations fired up by Hillary to see a woman in national elective office. Obama had a chance to name or even to vet Hillary. He chose instead another male Washington insider who himself was widely rejected by the national electorate in a number of failed runs for office. I for one am going to move over for McCain and Palin. Any others?

  1. here's the thing, if Obama had chosen Hillary it wouldn't b about him running it would b about his VP. he chose Biden because he thought he would be a good choice, not so people would agree with him. McCain however i think chose Palin so that he would pick up people like u where u want a woman in there.

  2. No, I don't think any woman with a brain who supported Hillary would switch to an ultra right wing woman just because she is a woman.

Palin is so far to the right she makes McCain look like a democrat.

The only reason she seems so 'fresh and honest' is that she did not have to go through the process of getting elected.

  3. I had already moved to McCain and Palin just makes it sweeter to me!

  4. So you don't care about the policies, just the fact that she doesn't have a p***s?

And you are brainwashed if you think McCain did this because he wants to see a woman in office.  He did it to win. Duh!  He would have chosen an experienced woman if he cared, but he chose a young, attractive woman with zero experience.

  5. I was already there, but good for you. There should be more during the Rep convention after they get to know more about Palin.

Obama is the Harvard type that turns away most of the population.

  6. A vaginia is not a qualification for the presidency, how insulting to Hillary supporters who believe in reproductive rights for women, equal pay for equal work, day care centers for the working moms barely surviving and healthcare for all.

  7. I for one was a Hilary supporter and now is backing Obama.   I will not be able to live with myself if i voted for a woman who is ANTI choice, wants religion taught in schools and hates g**s.  Sorry.  And it's a true insult to Hilary if you voted for McCain because Obama didn't choose her for a running mate...she didn't want to be vetted in the first place.  If you vote for McCain and Palin in Nov you are turning your back on Hilary and the democrat party.  McCain and Palin are everything Hilary is not.

  8. McCain's choice is such an obvious attempt at pandering that I think most of Hillary's supporters (even PUMA members) will not be fooled.  Obama and Clinton agreed on about 99 percent of the issues so I think that most of Hillary's supporters will do as she requested and stick with the party that has supported women's rights for many many years.  A vote for McCain/Palin is a vote for the continuation of the failed policies of the Bush administration.

BTW, Hillary will do much better (i.e., help more women) on the Supreme Court.

  9. I am shocked..my wife was a stanch obama supporter..i could not convince her to vote for hillary in our primary....she was obama all the way..now she is voting for mccain just because of his vp choice..

i  voted for hillary in our primary and was voting mccain  after hillary lost..it took this women to change my wifes mind and she is all over the choice..she figures mccain will kick the bucket and we will have a women president by default. She hated hillary for some reason.

This vp selection was about getting the right on board ..they are now..which makes more votes than hillary breakaways and made him 8 million dollars in one day

it was a very smart choice

puma voters were forever gone to obama anyway..it would not matter who was chosen...obama lost those people a month ago..i am a full fledge puma member and have been for a couple of months

  10. the educated HIllary supporter will never back Palin, she is anti everything Hillary stood  for.

  11. Not unless they are total fools!

  12. This is not a popularity contest... it's a policy contest.

I am a Hillary supporter, and her policies are reflected in the Obama/Biden ticket much much more than in the McCain/Palin ticket.

Put gender behind you and research what these candidates plan to do with this country.

  13. Sorry..keep dreaming. Most of Hillary's supporters were liberals and feminists, in no way would they vote for a pro-war, anti-abortion, conservative. She is the complete opposite of Hillary. Hillary paid her dues and that's why Democratic, liberal women liked her. Sarah Palin hasn't.

  14. Those that do are not Hillary Supporters.  They're just a bunch of disgruntled old maids with an ax to grind.  Hillary Supporters are Democrat and don't throw away their vote,

  15. I think it would be an insult to Hillary if they did.

Do you think Hillary spent 19 months working her *** off and placing 18 millions cracks in that glass ceiling just to have some pro-life nobody from Alaska slide through?

  16. Yes. Among those women to whom the only issue (important beyond all else) is their reproductive rights it will have no effect, but among the majority of women (who care about things other than their right to abortion) it is already having a large impact. Check the polls. I can't wait until more people get to know about Governor Palin and see her speak. She's a great candidate.
