  1. Yes it is, but the people demand so little that they let it happen. It's obviously the product of a self indulgent electorate.

  2. A lot of the people in it are, but I wouldn't say that the structure of the government itself is.

  3. Until we actually follow the Constitution of the United States (we never have) the chances for tyranny are multiplied.

We must (as citizens) be self reliant and limit the power of government.

Power corrupts. Our founders knew that.

That is why they gave us the bill of rights and limited the power of the central government.

Never have we granted equal power, rights and responsibility to all citizens and that violates the Constitution.

Money is power and high taxation takes your money and gives it to potential tyrants.

    Term limits would help also.

Never vote for anyone who will raise your taxes. To do so guarantees tyranny.

  4. Of course, it is and it has always been so.  There are a few honest men who run for public office, but most (if they can get elected) are corrupted quickly by accepting favors and money from lobbyist.  I can think of two exceptions:  Harry Truman and Joe Biden.

  5. not like south american governments. We can exchange our leaders legally every four years if they do not satisfy us. There are things that are not right that happens, it is in our nature, but we have a choice.

  6. when you are bought by companies to pass laws to help the company you are corrupt and this is america.

  7. Is there a government that isn't?
