  1. Yes I think it should be some sort of fine but not jail time

  2. You can not compare second hand smoke with beating a child that is a dumb comparison.  what feeding a child McDonald's will be child abuse next.

  3. If homes are going to be policed, might as well also do it for  what parents put on the dinner table,  because that can also cause harm..

  4. there is a lot wotse child abuse than smoking around your kids. we have lost enough of our rights as it is we dont need people like you  with nothing more to do with their time encouraging  this disfunctional goverment of ours to tell us we cant smoke in our own homes. i suggest you get a job and a lifeor just crawl in a big bubble  and have oxygen pumped in where you can be safe from all the polution in the air then you wont be abused by all us smokers

  5. No, don't be ridiculous----fined or jailed!?!?!

It's their own homes, what they should do is set aside a separate room for smoking, where the kiddies are not allowed.  Another option would be to smoke outdoors on the porch or patio.

I didn't see you write about what should be done to parents that smoke weed or crack in their homes, and meth from a lightbulb!  I think explosions might be a little bit more dangerous than cigarette smoke.

  6. first let me say no one should smoke around children !!!!

but who owns the house??? if i do than no one can tell me what i can or cannot do in my house.

why is it that in alot of states you can not smoke in a bar but you can be served drink after drink only to drive and harm or kill other people because you are so drunk.

if you are jailed for smoking in the same house with kids than people should be for drinking around them too.

  7. depends on who is making the house payments.  The kids can control what goes on in their house when they grow up.

  8. What a novel idea. Why don't we just jail all smokers.

I am not a smoker, but If I were what right do you have to tell me I cannot smoke in my own house?  Are you paying for it?

Smoking in the United States is NOT illegal. If a law like this is passed you open up police state issues, which will lead to less and less rights as citizens. It is bad enough   since 9/11 the manner that our rights have eroded.

Oh who is going to police all this are you willing to pay for the extra policemen?

Yes I agree smoking around kids is not good, but there have been many generations that have grown up that way and

    seem to be okay.

  9. We've all breathed exhaust fumes and no one cares. Kids should play outside ... like we use to. Now their sitting around playing video games. I agree, other peoples smoke can be annoying, even mine to someone else, at home, it's a family issue ... not the Federal Tobacco Marshall's business. When they buy your home for you, then they could possible have a SAY about what goes on under the roof.

    That's my answer/opinion, anyway.

  10. JAILED?! WHAT?! Save the jail for people who rape, kill innocents, steal, run whorehouses, etc., but smoking??! I'll agree, it IS abuse but not in a beating nor psychological way, very unhealthy, disgusting and would agree on a VERY hefty fine, garnished wages or whatever, and monitored by child services to make sure they stop smoking in the house, but jail? It's like sending someone to jail for not showering and walking around public smelling like a manure ditch
