Do you think peace/human rights groups bare part of the blame for the loss of life/arrest of their members?

when they send young, innocent and hopeful people out to places that are dangerous with little political freedom, knowing full well of police and government policy (not excusing it just pointing out they knew it was dangerous)--e.g. ISM sending in Rachel Corrie to Palestine to protest house demolitions only to be crushed by a large bulldozer; Canada Tibet Committee sending in activists to distribute brochures on Tibetan independence in China, only to watch them get arrested and disappear, also, off topic, religious groups sending in young Korean missionaries to Afghanistan.

  1. Yes, the groups do bear responsibility for the injury, death, or arrest, of their members.


  2. These are humanitarian choices that these people make. I think if not for some of these groups we would not know about some of the atrocities going on around the world today. I think it is brave and commendable.
