Question:

Do you think people's houses really look the way they show them on Rate My Space (the website)?

I've seen some of the pictures they've posted on ratemyspace.hgtv.com, and the majority of them seem nicely done; there isn't much clutter, the furniture is arranged nicely, and the colors seem to work well in the rooms. But is that what the "average" person's house looks like? I've tried and tried to do things with my apartment, but I can never get it to look like the ones in the pictures; it seems like interior design comes naturally to a lot of people, but not me. My question is, Are the pictures on that site reflective of the way most people's houses look? Thanks in advance for your answers.

  2. If you want to feel better go to Craigslist and look at the furniture that is for sale. LOL People don't clean or anything they just take pictures and show how they really live. On HGTV people are all trying to decorate and get their space rated, when the camera goes away out comes the clutter.
