  2. For the most part yes. Most people will save themselves instead of saving someone else like their husband/wife or even children. Some people, though, will save their family/friends before themselves.

  3. That depends on who's in that person's life. Me for example, I have no children, no significant other, and I live on my own. So yes, my main motivation as this point is me, myself, and I. I work full time and go to school full time, so I really don't have a lot of spare time; I have a lot of friends, but they are all just as busy as I am. There are a lot of people who use their spouses or children as motivation to do well and succeed.

  4. yes..in a capitalist society people are focused on self gain..before when the family worked as a unit of production people we less selfish as they worked as a team and for each other..wealth was less important..in today's society money is the focus of all selfishness
