Do you think people on Y!A will start writing better rap lyrics?

Martin Luther King gave a good speech,

many lives he touch many hearts he reach,

Rosa parks, sat down on the bus,

in the front she helped all of us,

I like the passion of Malcom X,

He changed a era, made us move to a next,

Obama will be president,

he will help back people, I need to pay rent,

Can we stop having raps like that. Anybody can rap like that. Use a more complex scheme of rhyming please. I know you don't have to abuse multiples, wordplay, metaphors, similies, alliteration, or any other thing to make it sound interesting, but can you use some! Also we would like to hear some kind of recording. You can make the best lyrics in the world, which none due, and cannot rap it. Most lyrics on here are too generic, mediocre, and boring. Thank you for your time.

People write how they want.  As long as they dont turn Hip Hop into a joke it doesnt bother me.  

This particular one bothers me because of the Obama statement.  So.... from what I understand from this little rhyme, Obama is only going to help black people and its stuff like this that is going to hurt him in the election.  And people got it twisted if they think Obama being president means black people aint gonna have anymore problems.  He is only one man after all....

I mean, yeah he'd prolly get something started (much like Rosa Parks or Malcom X) but he isnt going to be able to single handedly solve all of the problems.  it's gonna take people owning up to their own and fixing their problems with HELP from him.

@ Poster- I know that but there are actually people that have said that.  I was just making a point.  Not meant to go at you, just a point being made.

This angers me so much, because it's like people learned how to rhyme from Dr. Seuss.

But, don't lose hope. I bet the majority of people with great lyrics don't come on Yahoo! Answers because they're too busy recording and playing some underground shows. :D

who is we? i post written stuff on here from time to time along with many other people..its somethin that can be fun to do wit your free time, if we wanted to rap we'd get into a studio or buy a computer mic to do so

Who cares? It's Yahoo Answers. Let them practice here where they can get constructive criticism, and if you see somebody post a rhyme like that, give them advice on how to improve. It's not like you have to hear garbage rhymes like that when you turn on the radio. Oh, wait...
