Do you think people shape their lives to suit others?

Do you feel that the way people look at and treat others causes them to shape their lives to suit them? Do you feel this is a good thing or a bad thing if taken to a extreme?

Probably all people do this to some extent.  But if taken to an extreme it is definitely a bad thing.  It gets in the way of someone developing their own sense of self - their own independent identity.  If you define yourself entirely, or even just mostly in terms of how others view you, then who are you, really?

I don't fully understand the question. People shape their lives to suit whom?  I can see some parents pressuring their kids to get perfect grades, be perfect in front of friends, etc.  I have not met anyone who shaped their life to suit someone else's life.  I hope I never do.

yes,people do that,but i think it's more like,that you shape your life to suit a set of circumstances and that shaping is always evolving,we do it to suit ourselves at the time as well
