  1. Global warming is but a component, in a group of destructive forces at work such as ;deforestation, desertification, soil and water contamination ,irresponsible or wasteful utilization of bio resources , air pollution,Non sustainable Agriculture, over pumping carbon aquifers

all concepts which are definitely not part of the Natural Processes of the Natural world

    WHICH WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR,

The most prolific growth on this planet is part of the day in the mist and most of the time under clouds ,and the least growth is always directly in the sun .

To exchange the one for the other means changing local climates

We are exchanging Nature with Tar , concrete and open spaced mono cultures.

In 300 years half of the planets forests have gone ,and in the last 50 years half of the wet lands ,and rain forests

These Areas absorb heat during the day and release heat at night ,

Cause cloud formation(shade).humidifying the air on the surface as well as releasing excess water at the roots that keep rivers flowing ,which in turn brings more water into the Environment .

As well as contributing to absorbing carbon emissions as do the leaves of the trees together with the oceans .

All in all many factors which directly affect the local Environment .

The loss of the above resulting in rivers drying up ,less rain ,desertification, loss of habitat for many species and so on.

dryer and hotter surface environments which can manifest in different weather patterns such as tornadoes or bush fires

I may be stupid or Naive but somehow i believe that lots of these local environmental changes, can add up to affect global weather, If there are enough of them (and there are)

And then on top of that comes the story of the effects of pollutants released into Nature and especially the Air ,by MAN ,http://earthissues.multiply.com/photos/a...

And then there is of course Global Warming lets say the Natural one

A cocktail of events and a lot of the ingredients have MAN written all over them

So it is safe to assume that we should look at ourselves ,just a teeny bit ,for possible improvements ,and rectifying Eco errors that are with in our powers.

  2. well definitely yes we were n we are damaging our earth... today earth has 2 pay d cost of man's greed... GLOBAL WARMING, OZONE DEPLETION, POLLUTION are the result of reckless exploitation of earth's resources.... we know v hve 2 save d earth, v know dat if v continue dis, nothing will b left 4 the future generation, bt i know, there is no 1 who still will stop using plastic bags or will recycle the items... the need of the hour is 2 wake up n save our mother nature... coz v r short of time

  3. the earth is "us"  without the earth we are no longer  we are doing so much damage by the minute without even a backward glance  may God help us

  4. i know that if we keep more plastic bottles and cans and  if we recycle more cardboard, newspaper and magazines and keep them out of the land fills we will have them around longer and they will last a lot longer for the next gen to come along and yes i think as Human beings we are i know for the land fills we are for sure if we don't change this we could be living in our own garbage very soon i would like to see more stuff made from 100 % trash.

  5. In certain respects I think we are yes.  Look at the diversity in animal and plant life in the Galapagos that is being destroyed by too much tourism.  I would love to go there - but dont want to contribute to the ecological disaster.  This is just one example of man destroying the planet........

For others, look no futher than the increase in greenhouse gases due to industrialisation.  Whether or not they contribute to global warming (the jury is still out) the build up cannot be good.......

  6. No, I think people today are destroying people's future.  I'm mostly worried about desertification.

  7. No.   The earth will be here long after we depart in whatever way.   We are seriously damaging our future though.   Thats the problem; some people think of the future as their future and others think of the future as the species future.   If you're 40 and don't care what happens after you die, you can do pretty much anything you like and it won't effect you all that much.

  8. The people of today are but i am not so sure about the people of tomorrow.I believe we will learn from our mistakes one day after we evolve mentally. It is interesting how human stupidity persists even after a natural disaster that kills thousands. That just proves that fools never learn from their mistakes.Wars were fought in the past and are fought in the present and will be fought in the future because of the same reason. We who have the mental capability to learn from our mistakes and pass on our knowledge to others should all we can to teach others to respect the earth and the life it has given us.Forget the worthless points.Concentrate on trying to change things for a better tomorrow. If we do not there will be no tomorrow.

  9. I don't think we can endanger the earth. We will endanger ourselves if we don't control our greed.

  10. Some people do, however industry has a whole, is much better and more efficient at utilizing our natural resources. I think in some areas the environmentalist have hurt our environment.  Where I live they have been instrumental in shutting down new and better ways to produce power that produces much less pollution then older plants.  It is not about the environment but more about sentimentalism and trying to keep things always the same.  The forest needs to be harvested correctly if not it can become diseased and young growth will is choked off.  It is always good to pressure corporation into better ways to produce the products we consume every day.  It seems there is a self hatred among certain groups of our own humanity, granted there are always those who do not care about others and greed drives them. That is not limited to corporations, special interest groups can be driven by the same motivations.  Remember the computer you are using to communicate with was produced by the very people being condemned. I would suggest rather then the pessimistic approach we look to further advance ourselves by being innovative and coming up with better ways to produce the goods we need and ensuring our environment is sustained.  As far as greed that is a human maybe it time we teach the merits of self sacrifice for one another and actually do it rather then talk.

  11. Yes i do. We are using and abusing the land. Poisoning the waters, and raping its resources. We need to become less greedy and learn how to conserve.

  12. We have already..and Im not just talking about the land.
