  1. People with Aspergers have an imagination. There's famous artistts and musicians that have been diagnosed with it like Craig Nichols from The Vines. We have a problem with social imagination so things like pretend play, puttng ourselves in someone elses shoes can be difficult or impossible for some of us Aspies.

  2. not true        i sure do have an imagination.      especially when i was younger   i was always playing make elieve inside my own head        i know that to some one on the outside it may have loooked like i was just staring into space  but to me i was having lots of fun pretending all sorts of things.

  3. i work with a 6 year old with ASD who has a great imagination

  6. I have AS and have a good imagination.  However, I have zero artistic ability.  I have been known to sit down and make up make-believe stories on the fly.  "Once upon a time..." and then I fill in the rest.

  7. I have Asperger's syndrome and I have a very vivid imagination. So do most other aspies.

  8. They have great imaginations depending on the person

  9. remember autism is a spectrum, and has many different characteristics and degrees of expression of those symptoms associated with it.  Some people may be very concrete, and not like hypothetical situations or understand them.  Others may live in a fantasy type world that others in their surroundings don't understand.  So my answer is perhaps some lack imagination, but others may have too much.  Of course this means some have just the right amount!

  10. I'm sure that people with Autism do, they probably just can't express it the way that we can. People with Asperger's Syndrome CAN express imagination, and they do.

  11. My son is on the spectrum and he has a vivid imagination. It looks different but its still there.  Try doing some research.
