  4. I think the alcohol contributes a lot to the taste. if you remove alcohol from wine, it doesn't taste as good, or have that warm finish.

    Spirits are alcoholic by definition - a non-alcoholic spirit would not be a spirit it would be something else...

    so no, i don't think people would drink sprits or wine, or beer if they weren't alcoholic.

  6. Yes, you can buy non-alcoholic wine.  Those who aren't so immature just to see alcohol as a way to get wasted may enjoy it if they enjoy the taste of wine.

    Also some spirits like Kahlua and Baileys have nice flavours, so I think some people would drink them regardless of whether they had alcohol in them or not.

  9. No, of course not, as much as people like to pretend they enjoy the taste more than anything, the reality is pretty much everyone who drinks alcohol drinks mainly for the buzz, to a greater or lesser extent.

    If this was not true, then beers like kaliber (alcohol free) would be way more popular and no one would drink spirits, I mean why else would people drink vodka?
