Do you think piercing you belly button is trashy?

Im 15 and my mom wont let my pierce my naval. She said its trashy and that i cant get it done until im adult. Do you agree with her and think its trashy and that im too young or think she is being unreasonable? I need you opinions. :]

Well I Think You Really Need To Think ABout This Loike Is It What You Really Wont? Loike My 2 Older Sister's Now In There Mid Twenties Have There's Done And One Of Them Is Afraid Of Everything Baha She Hate's IT But Is Afraid To Take It Out She Wont Even Touch It And My Other Sis Well Her's Got Infected ANd Fell Out And Now Is Left With An UGLY Scar On Her Tummy Forever Loike Do You WOnt That Loike Either 50 WIth A Belly Ring Or On The Beach With A Big Hole Or Scar?

It is trashy and a bit 90s, sorry.

I used to want to get my belling button pierced a few years ago but changed my mind, in a few years you won't want it, it is really painful to get it done and can easily become infected.

You are too young and yes it looks trashy.

Listen to your Mom she  has your best interest at heart she loves you thats why she doesn't want you walking around looking trashy.

And No she doesn't care what your friends Mom's do thats their business not hers

I think it ok to do it.A word of caution use a new needle ,if someone does it make sure the machine is sterelized.you can pick up aid,hepatitus b and c,also other things.If you do it you can always remove the jewelry and it will grow back.I pierced my own at 57 with a earring piercer but i made sure the stud was sealed in the pack, then cleaned it with alcohol and cleaned the piercing  equipment.It isnt trashy ,does she have pierced ears? no difference ,,just the location,I dont approve of other piercings ,which i want mention since you are so young.

in some cases yes. and in others no.

if you have "a tight stomach" as in no flap or belly rolls a belly button ring would be cute. you would know if you had a belly roll. so be honest with your self if you are a bit "pudgy" dont get one it would look trashy.

i think its kind of trashy but as long as its not like a big dangly naval ring its ok i think u might be to young and i think she is  being reasonable my parents say the same thing that if i can dye my hair and peirce my body anywhere i want as long as i find a new place to live cuz as long as im under their house i live by their rules so i think she is being reasonable

i dont think so at all! im 15 too and i want mine done and my mom said it's cute on girls who AREN'T trashy. i think a little stud or loop is fine because it doesn't draw unwanted attention. if you got the long beaded ridiculous ones i have to admit they are a bit trashy =]

uhm it depends. first of all, this is not the 90s, so you're not going to be wearing midriff baring tops (hopefully). this means your piercing won't even be seen much unless you go around lifting your shirt up. so i say, go for it. i have a friend that had her belly pierced at 14..it's not bad. go ahead and have some fun, it's your body. plus, if you don't like it, you can always take the jewel out and the hole might close, no one will notice.

Actually, I do agree with you mother. I do not think that a belly button piercing is really pretty. I wouldn't exactly say trashy, but I don't think it is a beautiful embelishment. Nah.

However, all that matters is what you like. Truth is, you'll be the one using it, not me or your mom or anyone else, so you shouldn't care much about other people opinions. Besides, many other women have it, so oppinions obviously differ.

Now, while I think you shouldn't have to "change" your opinion on the beauty of it according to your mother's, I do think that she is not being that unreasonable in making you wait until your older. That way, you'll have more time to think about the idea, and make sure you really want it done. She might think it's a phase and that later you won't want it anymore. But I do understand that you might want it now because you'd really like it, and you do think it's fashionable.

So maybe you can reach an agreement? Maybe you can agree that you wait to do it when you are 16 or 17, considering maybe that you have to pay for it, have good grades, etc. You know, just kind of having it as a reward. Or you can wait a couple more years and obey your mom.

You are too young, but I do not think it is trashy. I have mine done, but I didn't do it till I was 21. I think that some women DO make it trashy though, walking around with their stomachs hanging out just to show off their piercings and stuff. That is trashy, but the piercing itself is not.
