Do you think...(pin-up girl tattoos)?

that it is nice looking and appropriate for a girl to have a tattoo of a woman or of a mermaid or of a pin-up girl on her?

Think of the celebrities such as Megan Fox(she tattoed Mairylin Monroe) and Rose McGowan( tattoo of a woman)

I don't like pinup tattoos on anyone. I really dislike Megan Fox's tattoos actually. Rose McGowan's I don't like either - and you might notice that she's had it removed. A mermaid might be OK, if it were tasteful - but I'd only like it if it were someplace fairly inconspicuous, like the middle of the back. I don't know why, but I've always thought pinup tattoos were tacky. I like tattoos, I like pinups, but together there's something missing for me. And on women, I guess I just don't get it. If you're straight, why would you want that?

as long as its tastefull absolutly, women pull them off better than men!

I think it's fine as long as the tattoo is well done. Pin up tattoos are hot on anyone.

some look really good, but others look trashy. be sure you pick a good artist. check out bmeink.com for ideas.

the mermaid pin ups look good- they did one on Miami ink that turned out nicely. It was stretched out across the lower back.

I think it's s**y.  But as others have also said, I would avoid nudity and make sure you have a good artist.  Check his/her portfolio out really well before you commit to anything!

if it's tasteful then I dig it. The big thing is not to get addicted & get too many tattoos. Too many folks clutter up their canvas with meaningless ink. A vargas girl on a hot babe is cool. But not if it's surrounded by shamrocks, Clover, hearts, diamonds and moons

I think it's awesome if it's tasteful. I have two tattoos of more new-skool pinup girls and I love them. I think they're extremely s**y. One thing that I suggest is not getting them nude or partially nude. A s**y post or some skin is great though :)

I think pin up girls are tacky IMO but if you like them then go for it. One thing i will suggest though is not to get them looking retarded with there b***s hanging out---that will not look good. I  think the mermaid could look nice but again i personally dont like pin ups on anyone- portraits would be more tasteful.

Personal taste should rule, unless your social circle is so important to you that you feel obligated to give in to their standards.

Beyond that, unless you are looking for a career wherein tattoos are not acceptable; it's your body, and should be your choice.

Of course, that's just my opinion; I could be wrong.

Note: I am heavily tattooed and am very much 'pro-choice' in most areas.
