Do you think playing pool online, would help you get better in real life?

Playing pool online has nothing to do with playing pool in person. I think you just need to practice your shots in person. You need to line up your angles and take your time not just shoot wherever. It might help you by lining it up but it hasnt nothing to do with it in person. I mean using a mouse and using a real pool stick. Not the same thing.

yes.  the physics is the same real life or online.  watching ball movement and spin online translates to more understanding real world.  I have done it now for 3 yrs.

only if the game has a que veiw. some games only have a birds eye veiw of the game that couldn't help

Yes it can. I play yahoo pool all the time. It helps me especially with my safe shots and banks when I execute them on a real table. You can just practice on it with the geometry. You can practice them shots you dont have the guts to try or dont know what would happen  if shot on a real table.

Yes   Playing online can teach your brain to recognize the angled shots better when you are playing forsure.  You can see how to do cross-banks and one or two bank shots as well as combo shots
