Do you think politicians are out of touch with the American people?

Most politicians are rich and have no idea what it takes to survive in middle America .. These people don't even do their own laundry or shopping so how can they know anything about what I'm going through....They fly around in private jets and talk about fuel about us cutting our fuel cost...They talk about the environment but yet they have these big houses that have outstanding carbon foot prints... Why do you think..

YES! Good point! It really comes down to choosing the lesser evil, because all of them- Obama and McCain included- are out of touch with the needs of the average American. I like the fact that the previous German chancellor (Gerhard Schroeder) came from a simple family- his brother was an unemployed cab driver, while he himself simply did an apprenticeship in the family business and eventually became involved in politics. In America, those who control and make the decisions for the rest of us come from great wealth, and so they can't possibly be making decisions that have our best interests at heart.

John McCain - absolutely. That's why America will elect ABM as an all-american  president, not the rich-only-president.

99% of them don't care at all because the majority of them are on the take and therefore, corrupted.

They got theirs and the rest of Slave America can just rot in the CanaMexico soon to be third world cesspool while they seek shelter from the starving and bitter flash mobs in Spain and Dubai.

I agree, some have a clue but most don't, and when you have 77 lobbyists for every member of congress than they have the access and the rest of us don't. to answer your question "are politicians out of touch with the American people", I answer with a question " does a bear s--- in the woods" ?.

Most to them haven't a clue.  It's not like they don't already have life long health insurance benefits and never have to think about struggling to get their kids through college. There is one that seems to have clue though, Chuck Schumer of NY he isn't a 100% correct but he was the planner for the 2006 wins by the Dems.
