Pesto and Pisto are types of italian sauce, never heard of Prego thought so yeah pregnant. We says preggers though as we are common.

I think it's a matter of pronunciation:

Prego = pray go

Preggo has the soft e ...We used to say preggers...that was pregnant.

So much more clear to merely say....A bun in the oven...
