  1. Yes it should be legalized. It's not a great thing to do, but there are other bad things people do that are also illegal. I don't think that cops should be out there arresting women for selling their bodies. And when it's illegal, there is too much abuse of the prostitutes that goes on, but they can't go to the police because it's illegal.  With trafficking in women so terrible these days, the police should be helping women being trafficked, rather than having the women be afraid to go to the police because they don't want to be arrested.

  2. Yes. But then no because a lot of pimps are violent and prostituts get beat a lot.

  3. No because it would make it even more dangerous for the prostitutes.  Men would become more violent towards them if there were more of them around to abuse.

  4. Yes, it should be legal, regulated, and taxed by the government. I'm a libertarian - it's neither my job nor the government's job to act as anyone's parent. If you are a consenting adult, why shouldn't you be able to rent your body for use? That's what you're doing at every single other job already, anyway, why not get paid 300 an hour rather than 5.50? As long as both people are consenting adults, they should be allowed to do whatever they want with their bodies. Moral does not equal legal.

Most of the problems associated with prostitution come about as a result of it being illegal: pimping, drugs, stds, violence are all made much worse by virtue of being driven underground. Not to mention the horrific joke of police entrapment: consenting man and consenting woman want to complete a transaction for a sexual service. In order to catch the "criminals" involved, the police have to literally set traps, because otherwise, who would report the "crime"? The person who gets the money they wanted or the person who gets the s*x they paid for? Completely ridiculous.

  5. Yes,

Prostitition is going to happen wether it is legal or not.  The government may as well get its hefty tax share and keep the girls taken care of medically.  Besides, it would cut the pimps out of the picture and I think that would be funny as h**l.

  6. no

  7. Depends.

If it was heavily regulated then yes.

A system similar to Nevada's could work but it would need to be expanded upon. They should make it so that in order to be able to see a prostitute, the customer should have an STD test once every 3-6 months.

On the same token if it was legalized prostitutes who fail to follow regulation and customers who go to them should be punished severely.

It is easy to take the moral high road but the simple fact is, is that it has been around along time and has never been eradicated.

And it fills a void in society. But the current Nevada system is sexist

as it does not allow or drags it's feet into the ground at the idea of a "male brothel" designed towards a female clientele.

But most opposition comes from people who have an innate fear of competition.

  8. YES.  Then it could be regulated and taxed like other businesses.  It would greatly help the government's financial picture.

  9. Yes.  I don't think the government has the right to tell consenting adults what they can do with their bodies.  Prostitution is basically a business.  If it were legal it could be regulated, taxed, routine STD tests would be performed, condom use would be enforced and prostitutes would be much less likely to be the victims of violence.

  10. es it should be.

    1.  The ladies could get medical help to make sure they have nothing to give their John's

    2. The John's can feel safe because the ladies get the medical cards to show that have regular check ups.

    3.  The government can get money from them because it is a real job and then they would have to pay taxes.

  11. Yes, because that person is choosing to sell his or her own body. I mean, we all have to make money somehow, and some people's situations are so desperate that they have to resort to that. I see nothing wrong with prostitution. It's just that because America runs off a freaking Christian society, they shove their morals down our throats. I would never do prostitution, but if you need money, you need money.

Now, robbing a bank is a completely different thing, so don't even suggest that.

  12. I'm not "pro" prostitution but I do believe it should be legalized. And so should all drugs (no I have never used illegal drugs). Do you realize how much tax money that would add to the government coffers rather than be an expenditure for a failed system. A great deal! There would be fewer people in jail too.

Prostitution, abuse of 'illegal' or legal drugs are immoral and I pray that people would not resort to this kind of lifestyle, but neither the government nor religion has the right to 'ban' anything in a free thinking society. With all immoral behaviors, the society as a whole should simply not accept those that live that way. If it's not acceptable behaviour than it will kept on the fringes of society.

    Just my never-to-be-humble opinion. ♥ ∞

  13. Yes because then it could be regulated and made safer for the women concerned. It would take the business away from the criminals partly at least and the women could pay tax on their earnings. The same argument goes for drugs. I don't  use and would never use either but I don't moralize and judge others that I have no comprehension of what made them take such a decision about their own lives it could have been a perfectly logical decision for all I or you know.

  14. TBH i dont see why not.

Both parties are consenting to the act, both are of legal age, its not like anybody is getting hurt.

I'd never use a prostitute, but can someone explain to me the problem here, its like smoking pot, its a victimless thing.

  15. yes, I think it should be. I think having it illegal makes it more dangerous for women who are selling themselves.  They should be licensed as I believe they are int he Netherlands.  And I think it totally absurd that the buyer should be considered criminal and not the seller, that is quite ludicrous.

  16. no because it s immoral and unethical. Aren't laws published based on the morality, conscience, justice and the human dignity? Prostitution violates all the basic human dignity. By promoting the sexual intercourse with an unsanitary male/female partners outside the marriage, it will increase the rate of STD spread out in a nation. Also, it will diminish the sinful conception of selling and buying the bodies to make a profit out of it through having s*x outside the marriage. As a result, it can cause other related crimes (just like drug dealing and pimps) and the marital problems and finally it will jeopardize not only the significance of respecting one's sexual value and importance, but also the family values.

  17. Yes.  Regulation will reduce transmission of disease and reduce violent crime.

  18. Yes it would make it easier to monitor and would take it out of the hands of criminals. If you take the prostitutes off the streets and put them in brothels etc that are subject to inspection and licencing then it will be less common to have them beaten up.

  19. y should it.i think people should go to jail for it. Alot of innocent people die b/c of deadly diseases..........

  20. Yes.  It is two adults making an agreement. What's the problem?

Things would be much safer if it were legal.  Government could require prostitutes to get monthly STD tests and prostitutes could require their clients to do the same.  The whole thing would just be so much less shady, if it was legal.  Less violence, too.

  21. No I think it's dangerous. God also doesn't want this he wants women to respect themselves.

  22. Yes.

And the women should be registered with the local govt, have std tests taken regularly and then they are taxed, like everyone else with a job.

  23. No because selling one's body for money, drugs and alcohol is degrading.

  24. on the one hand yes if both parties are consenting and of legal age but on the other no because it is very dangerous because it has the potential to spread disease
