Definition:
The pupusa is a popular Salvadoran dish made of a thick, corn tortilla filled with anything from meats to cheeses to refried beans to pork rinds to lorroco and vegetables.They are usually eaten with curtido which is sliced/cut up cabbage, soaked in vinegar, and other spices. They can be purchased from pupuserÃÂas, as well as streetside vendors. Pupusas are also found in certain areas of Guatemala and Honduras.
