Do you think putting your photograph on a business card is good or bad?

I'm a realtor and I need to make up my business cards. Some have told me that putting my photograph on them can lead to potential clients not taking me seriuosly at first glance because I am young (assumed that I'm unexperienced) and a women. But some say it helps associate you with your company. I want to be taken seriously and if the way I look could prevent that I need to reconsider my photograph.

well its not necessary to have your picture on your business card

the thing which should attract a person from doing the business with you is your company's name and what it deals in and is it going to provide them profit if they do business with you..

But rest is your choice :)

If you're giving business cards out in person (i.e. face-to-face), then put your picture on the card ... if you give a biz card out face-to-face and you're young, you can personally overcome that impression/perception of inexperience in the face to face discussion.  

But if you primarily mail out your cards, or post them on a bulletin board, etc. then don't put your picture on the card ... your picture will present the image (of youth and perhaps inexperience) that the potential client will have of you - not the strength of your personality, or presence, or professionalism of you in-person.

I have mixed emotions on this. My company wants my picture on mine so I have no choice in the matter. I think it is vain my self but many don't. But if you are attractive and want to do so then do it.

I have seen Many Business cards with Photos and Without. In my opinion it is good to have your photo because it will show the buyer that you are serious abut your business and you are committed to your job. Make sure that the photo is very professional and good looking. If you put it on your cards, its probably best if you include it on the property for sale signs too.

As long as you look professional in the photo you will be taken seriously.

I personally like to see who I'm dealing with.

Also if you are among many Realtors trying to land a listing, the client being able to see you again on your B-card will help!
