I really hope this isnt just a trend and people really do start making changes in their lives to reduce pollution and minimize their carbon footprint!

What are you doing to make a difference?

  1. It's too late. Don't believe me ? You'll see.

  2. I think it is a partial phase, but it will  continue in the future.  On the other hand.  As the earth's population keeps rising over the next 50-100 years, new technologies(if available) will have to be implemented to make a sustainable planet.

With China, India and some parts of Africa making a push to have a bigger role economically in the world, it is going to be difficult for them to keep up with all the "Green Trends".  I don't blame them either, America and Europe have been raping the Earth for their own advantages for over 150 years and it is now time for some of the 2nd and 3rd world countries to get a slice of the "American Pie", so to speak.

Humans aren't bacteria, we are larger land mammals that take up a ton of resources to survive and progress.  Basically, humans will always be around in one way or another, just not as many of us as now.  People in 1st world countries have used and manipulated the less powerful nations of the world for "progress" for centuries and that is all that matters in the end, "PROGRESS" and "ADVANCEMENTS".

Homo Sapiens Sapiens are explorers, we go beyond our own biology.  The earth has been around for 3.5 Billion years!!!!!!  The universe for about 14-15 Billion years!!!!!!!!  I don't think the earth is in any danger from us, but we are in danger from one another, that's for sure.  If I can give one piece of advice to people, it would be lose some of your desires and ambitions.  They will only fail us all in the end.  Your self esteem shouldn't live and die on your social status or how many "things" you have to fill your life up with.  Let it go people, let it go.  Stop trying so hard to be "someone". lol.

    bye.

  3. One way or another we have no choice, we may only choose how gracefully we adopt change.  Non-renewable resources (by definition) will be exhausted at some point.  Unfortunately changing to a more sustainable lifestyle is being driven economically and the speed of this transition is in the hands of consumers.  Choose change before it is forced upon you. Laws of the universe apply-"stagnation causes entropy" change, adapt and endure or realize the alternative.  Don't believe all the doomsday bs it is the lazy alternative to progress.  Why would you even consider that our children, grand children etc, will live like us-do you live like your parents, grand parents, etc?  "Green" is just a color, a marketing ploy, but change is inevitable.

  4. its the lefts way of destroying our economy so that everyone will have to rely more on the government.

  5. it is here to stay for the western world, but it is too late to convert the rest of the world to the green way of thinking. think about how many asians and africans who don't even know there is a problem, let alone care - some of them are fighting for survival on a daily basis.

  6. "Its not easy being green"

    Kermit the frog.

  7. what i think, is...... that you are a PROPER ugly, tattooed freak!

  8. Being Green is not a fad it is an investment in the future.

O.K. I may not have a future but a greener future is coming because people have invested money.

You have to put in green to get out green. Buying a hybrid car , using solar power or wind power is good but someone had to take the risk of bringing the green products forward. I am one of those people who put my money where my mouth is.  I am not that smart and certainly not rich. I am only a few thousand in the hole after about eight years. I am proud to have played a part in the future of cars. If you buy green in the future my future  will be green.

  9. it's the latest fad, you can not be truely green. you can lessen your footprint BUT it is in vain. I am 100% green but let me explain, I use platic wrappers and throw them out the window of my gas guzzling SUV, do you think you are more green than me?? nope, you see I am 41, and I will never have kids, the destruction ends with me, you on average will have 2.5 kids, 5 grand kids, 15 great grand kids, 38 gg grand kids, 91 ggg grand kids, 225 gggg grand kids. what that all in about 150 short years? the footprint left by your offspring is unstoppable, unless you break the chain. the population needs to be decreased by 50-  75% within the next 200 years or the whole race is doomed. do some research, the earth will not be able to support human life at the rate we are reproducing. here are 2 of many websites that will help you understand the race is doomed. you see it every day and do nothing, you may not even realize it. there are whole cultures who live in famine, where there is not enough food to go around. it will get worse, there will be no where to bury the dead, or no one left to do it in parts of the world, then disease sets in, and speads with the wind.

  10. If people think "going green" is just a trend, they will learn a hard lesson when we run out of natural resources someday.... soon.......

  11. .Sooner or later we will have to evaluate the throwaway age. It is a unsustainable way of living .In the near future we will be forced to change our way of living either by resources running out or legislation to curb its worst effects. People are slowly waking up to the fact that a greener cleaner lifestyle is feasible.Years ago i realised that the shear volume of packaging coming into our house was phenomenal so we tend to recycle everything possible .Anything we can give away to people that we have no further use for is free cycled and charity shops or asking around for anyone that would like it . .Not a ideal thing  but its just doing your bit .

  12. The choice is simple: stay green or most of humanity turns brown.

And don't be fooled. Most of what passes for "green" these stays is feel good, meaningless balderdash. Real green is going to require a paradigm shift involving the shifting from motorized transport to pedestrian transport, mass transit, smaller homes and neighborhoods.

  13. It is just a phase.  It will fade away like bell-bottoms and probably re-appear at some point.

  14. I hope people keep doing it if it actually benefits the planet, governments have been going against it claiming its all a plot for funding and more money. Thus if it actually is proven to work, I hope others keep doing it, as for me, nothing, I'm a jerk.

  15. I love natural disasters. I have been in a few. I encourage the exploitation of natural resources to bring Armageddon within my life time.
