  1. Happen to see both your questions! Are you writing an essay?

    a. when you say"good economic" i presume your are referring to the economic boom when our share market increases, our property prices increases and we have many mega projects like IRs and marina south city on going. GDP is still positive.etc...

YES, it will benefit most Singaporeans as jobs are created and people have food on the table. Salary is increasing and economy is stable. We should be thankful for the government.

    b. you also ask about more rich or poor singaporean? maybe you should relook at what is considered rich and what is poor. If you compare one with a average family in africa, we are considered very rich. But if compared to family in Germany, we may be average. Please define rich and poor.

    c. Government is rich or poor? Again your benchmark is important.

    GBU!

  2. Good because it keeps the government relevant. Honestly, the reason why the government has been giving out handouts is more to help the lower income group. So, it really depends which economic range you are on. However, altruiscally speaking, it does benefits all of us as it inproves the income inequality.

  3. In theory, when the economy of a country does well, the people will be better off.

In reality, the rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer due to inflation.
